INNER AND OUTER WORLDS
The experience and what we know ‘directly’ of the world around us is the result of information gathered by our senses- the organs of taste, touch, sight, smell, hearing…
These busy instruments of human awareness put an unmistakable human imprint on the universe as they gather it up for our consideration. But they do not give us the whole picture.
This does not imply that the perceptions we observe in the space of our minds are imaginary. From the yogic point of view, the outer world is both very real and very permanent. It is believed that the senses gather their perceptions of this very real world, and then these perceptions are brought to consciousness, illuminated in an inner space, the space of awareness, the space of the mind. It is my understanding that we can go deeper than these senses, that we can know the outer world and ourselves in an even subtler manner. By accessing a different kind of knowledge, a knowledge that requires us to relax the senses themselves.
The body may be an instrument, a dwelling for something far more refined and pure-an inner essence. This self as a radiant human experience. It is in the body that we find the sense organs-and not just the classic five used for perceiving the world. We also have powers of locomotion, manipulation, elimination, procreation, and communication.
It is my belief that when all these senses are relaxed, we can move inward to more subtle dimensions of personality. We step away from our identification with the body. Knowing this experimentally is a profound step toward inner peace.
In fact, deep rest brings many benefits. With greater awareness, the way in which we manage our bodies, our selves can improve our well-being. Beneath the ups and downs of every day life, there is a profound state of balance, and by resting even for brief periods in that state help create resilient and stable mind, reviving our confidence and reawakens our sense of presence.
As the body relaxes into a deep and profound sense of stillness, an inner let go occurs, that often seems to herald the start of something deeply true, supporting, transforming and liberating. To simply rest is not enough to stem outer movement; it is by learning to quiet the entire chain of events. This requires patient practice or guided help from a trained practitioner.
The felt senses, out and in, emptying and filling, in movement and in stillness, without mental effort, is an internal rhythm that we learn to watch and feel without judgment. Much like watching the waters of a quiet stream flow. As time passes, the quiet movement will relax the nervous system as we begin to notice a shift in the awareness we have of our own presence. Thoughts travel along the edge of that space, relaxing the mind. There is fullness in the movement that requires nothing more.

BARING OUR HEARTS REVEALS HIDDEN GIFTS
Baring our hearts reveals hidden gifts
Beauty nourishes our souls…It allows us to remember not only what is possible, what we are capable of creating as human beings, but what is necessary. Each of us bears gifts, and we can share them within the embrace of our own communities. With the heart anything is possible. We long to share our inward and outward beauty. How can there be shame in this desire to expose the best of who we are? If we choose to hide or minimize our gifts, how can we ever embrace hope?
In times of war and global crisis, it seems to me the only appropriate action is to bare our hearts fearlessly with love and generosity, sharing the gifts that we have been given, whatever they may be, freely with those around us.
The idea is not to cure, but to help access our deep inner resources for healing, calming the mind, and operating more effectively in the world and to help clients develop strategies and resources for making sensible, adaptive choices under pressure, coping with stress, feeling better and engaged with life.
It is a practice of healing and promoting health, supported by the laws of nature. We observe that life expresses a definite pan for development and the ability to heal. Studying the force of life, which has the power to create, develop, maintain, and restore health leads to the understanding that disease exists when restrictions prevent the force of life from manifesting health. The body in its whole has the ability to heal itself, gaining an understanding of the intelligent self-correcting mechanism of the body. We learn how to assist this mechanism, under its direction, in the process of restoring health. From these experiences, we observe that the process of self-correction extends beyond the resolution of symptoms, by supporting the continual development of the mind, body and integration of spirit throughout life. Health is recognized as a process of growth and development throughout life and not just the absence of disease. Recognizing the innate wisdom of the self-correcting mechanism, and the flow of this force is the guide

Embracing the Mystery
Each of us is born with a spiritual mandate to awaken and to embody the true nature or purpose intended for our lives. We do this not only to help the human family grow toward a profound understanding of our oneness but also to allow change and mystery to grow through us. The path laid out before us is unique to each individual, as are the ways we’re led and supported in our efforts to become all we are.
Throughout the ages, it has been said that this is the seeker’s true quest: to discover one’s own sacred nature, to inhabit this fully, and to deepen in love with the magnificent, awe-inspiring, beautiful Mystery that lies at the heart of creation

The conscious body in movement in space of its art
The role of the artist, like the craniosacral practitioner, is profoundly spiritual. Completely absorbed in observation, by entering deeply enough into it, we see the divinity at its core, achieving a high level of spiritual realization without ever denigrating the physical world. I have learned by experience that enormous power is available, if you let it be, greet and serve life
**The study of healing and the body as a reflection of social, cultural, and creation mythology, religion, economic factors shape the body, including the widespread atmosphere of violence, the loss of quality of life, the aging process, prenatal and perinatal trauma and shock, and the suppression of indigenous culture and their approaches to healing are among my major concerns
To stop and listen to a person’s core through the means of gentle and respectful touch is to deepen our instinctual relationship with the natural world as it manifests in his or her body. This includes an exploration of the forces of unconditional Health found in the body and forming an appropriate relationship with the world of the divine.
It is fascinating to understand the human body in its original embryological stages of development, sensing health, healing, embodiment and incarnation through the lenses of creation.
The source of all movement-indeed all life- is the experience of direct communication from the source to the hand, and from the hand back to the source.
Aha! The exclamation of discovery, the sound made when something that has been lost is found, an expression of reconnection.
To move into all the possibilities with ease.
The breath is life itself- it comes and it goes.
Allowing the spirit of the body to inform until the end of questions and answers: a conditionless condition in which there are neither problem nor solutions.
Nothing to loose, nothing to grasp, nothing to get.
I remember to remain available to the grateful opportunities, to share in the joy of revelation. We need to transcend the daily saga of trial and error, and see the perfection of each moment. We act as if the entire Universe depends on our actions, all the while laughing at such a thought. When we realize the potency of thought, we understand the importance of its purification. When we extend our physical bodies while intending to extend our hearts, we awaken our own innate generosity from within. This intention of giving permeates every cell and tissue.
The art of life is life as art.
The inner essence is the common thread. Each gesture and each breath is original and a unique, authentic and expression of the absolute.
The search for understanding seems to follows a series of circles joined together to form a spiral. As soon as we have completed each turn and it has become whole within us, forming an integral part of our experience. We are immediately exposed to the outer boundary of the next circle. Then we are ready to take the spiral path leading to the next level.
We find balance in yourselves and the power we hold. Not to tightly or too loosely. I have come to notice that people’s spirit is often consumed by outer needs, which seems to burn up their life energy, not leaving space for even the smallest amount for inner exploration.
Most still continue to fight against this important life force, even in the face of serious distress, resisting it in order to maintain their old, incomplete patterns of living
Opening the mind to inner space that existed within, eventually opening the door to new powers that heal. Unfortunately in some cases, it takes a tremendous shock to the system to move people deeply enough to upset their ‘comfort equilibrium’ and steer them back to a balanced state of health.
(The boundaries between a client and me can completely dissolve so that we are one, connected throughout every level of our entire being; from the smallest molecule to the depths of our souls. During these moments, I lose the curse of my damned rationality; my usual need to explain logically. Moments of pure concentrated existence.)
ALL
I FELT A DISTANT MOTION, HEARD A SOUND.
MY ANXIOUS THOUGHT, MY EVERY SENSE WAS SEIZED.
I SHOOK WITH FEAR, AND THEN IN SILENCE FOUND
IT POSSIBLE TO ASK, “ O WHO ARE YOU?”
ARE YOU MY HEARING AND MY SIGHT? I CRIED:
ARE YOU THE DISTANCE I MUST GO, THE SUM
AND SIGN Of ALL I AM? THE SELF-DENIED
WHO HAS BECOME MY ONLY SELF? ARE YOU
MY FRIEND, MY FELLOW PRISONER, MY LIGHT,
MY FAITH, MY WORLDLY FATE? SAY TO ME NOW
“I’VE RESCUED YOU,” MY HEARING AND MY SIGHT,
MY YEARNING, MY EVERY BREATH, MY LIFE.
THOUGH ALL IS HIDDEN TO MY EYES, MY HEART
PERCEIVES YOU IN THE DISTANCE. HERE WE LIVE
AS ONE, THE WHOLE CONCEALED WITHIN MY PART.
IS THIS THE WAY SUCH LOVERS LEARN OF LOVE?
